MOVE MOMENTUM: GEMS

GEMS is a friendly and relaxed dance class for over 65s which includes a mixture of seated and standing movements with a focus on everyone going at their own pace and above all, having fun!

GEMS is more than a dance class. It’s about being part of a community, building friendships and everyone enjoying themselves. We cover a wide range of styles and facilitate the exploration of creative movement.

There is the option to stay after the class for tea/coffee.

We often showcase our dancers’ skills at performances – and everyone’s welcome to take part (if they’d like to)! Take a look at some of our recent and upcoming performances and events.

GIGGLEBUGS

Music and movement classes for little people.

GiggleBugs is a music and movement multi-sensory class for babies and toddlers run by Lotte Bennett. Designed and led by a professional musical theatre actress, the age-appropriate sessions are packed with high-quality music, rhythm, instruments and sensory play.

GiggleBugs classes will lay secure and stimulating foundations for learning about music, and will build your Little One's confidence, knowledge and curiosity in both music and movement.

Through the imaginative exploration of instruments, voice, props and dance, we embark on magical musical adventures that will take your child's breath away!

ENCORE YOUTH THEATRE

Award-winning ENCORE Youth Theatre are based in Winchester and specialise in all aspects of musical theatre. We want everyone who joins us to achieve their greatest potential; growing as unique individuals as they develop both performance and inter-personal skills. All of this takes place in a fun, safe and welcoming environment with a group of young people who, very quickly, become "family". Our greatest aim is that when someone leaves ENCORE, they do so with the best of friends and the happiest of memories.

Auditions are held in July and rehearsals take place every Sunday from September until February. Production Week is at the Theatre Royal Winchester during February half term.

ENCORE is a Community Interest Company. All adult supporters, many of whom work in the professional theatre, give their time for nothing more than the love of, and a commitment to, the ethos of the company.

We welcome students of all ages and aim to provide a positive and professional environment in which students develop their passion for dance and are inspired to achieve their full potential.

Developing technique and skills including co-ordination, improved posture, musicality and creativity, our friendly classes also help build self-confidence, and students form life-long friendships. Instilled by our founder Annette FitzGerald, every student is important within the Florian family and caring for everyone’s well-being stretches beyond the dance studio.

The Love Choir is a supportive, inclusive place for womxn to come together and sing. Singing just because it feels good. Singing to connect to ourselves, each other and the world around us.

You don't need to have lots of singing experience. You don't need to be able to read music. We do it all by ear, sharing and learning songs together. So if you would like to come and meet some likeminded women and be bathed in sound for an hour a week then join us! You are so welcome.

This is an initial taster session and all being well we will launch for our first term in September.
