Welcome back to The Nutshell!

We are thrilled to announce that our doors reopen on Saturday 12th September after a very long and tumultuous time. We closed our doors on 16th March 2020 and now, 6 months later, we are looking forward to the next part of our journey.

What’s new

The safety of our staff, visitors and hirers is of paramount importance and so we have undertaken a few changes:

  • Covid-19 risk assessment

  • Placed clear signage throughout our venue to promote good personal hygiene

  • Installed hand sanitister stations in the foyer, Shell A and Shell B along with individual pumps in all four toilets

  • Promoted a ‘work from home’ policy for our staff where relevant and purchased further equipment to keep them safe when working in the venue

  • Installed clear 2m distancing signage

  • Updated our fire risk assessment

  • Updated payment system to accept card/BACS payment only

  • Reduced capacities for workshops and events

  • Worked with our hirers to instil confidence and reassurance that we’re all in this together

CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC

Unfortunately for the foreseeable future we are closed to the public unless pre-booked onto a class/workshop, have a hire agreement or are attending an event.

Social distancing and hygiene

We are asking all visitors and hirers to maintain social distancing of 2m where possible, to frequently wash hands for 20 seconds and to use the hand sanitiser stations placed around the venue.

Toilets

Our toilets will be open to class, workshop and event attendees only.

WORKSHOP ATTENDEES

All workshop attendees will be sent additional information about their visit prior to their class/workshop.

HIRERS

We are still able to hire our venue. Please email us if you would like to hire our building as there are a few extra checks we have to do to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
