We're thrilled to announce our first ever comedy night at The Nutshell featuring some fantastic comedians including our wonderful host Paul McCaffrey of the Confident Crow Comedy Club. This evening is set to be a corker of a night, book quick to avoid disappointment!

Mike Cox
Mike has been performing comedy since 2011 and quickly made his mark on the comedy scene with his sharp witted observational style which saw him crowned South Coast Comedian of the Year in 2014 as well as making the final of the prestigious Amused Moose Laugh Off in 2016.
He can be seen at comedy clubs up and down the UK.

Laura Lexx
As seen on: Live at the Apollo, Hypothetical, Roast Battle and as host of BBC Radio 4 Extra Comedy Club.

Laura Lexx is an award-winning comedian and writer. She recently came to the public’s attention with her fictional Twitter thread about being married to Jurgen Klopp. Following critically-acclaimed runs of her shows Trying and Knee Jerk, Laura won Best Performer in the Comedian’s Choice Awards at the 2018 and 2019 Edinburgh Fringe. She was also named in the Top 10 of Dave’s Funniest Joke of the Fringe in 2018 and Trying transferred to the Soho Theatre in London in 2019.

Mark Simmons
Mark is an exceptional one-liner comedian. It won him a place in Dave’s prestigious Best Joke of The Fringe in Edinburgh 2017. His solo show at the festival, One-Linerer was also a huge hit, with sell out shows every day and was nominated Best Show by the Amused Moose Comedy Award Fringe Show 2017. He then continued this success with his follow-up show, One-Linererer, which was also a sell out!

Paul McCaffrey
Star of Live at the Apollo, Impractical Jokers, Russell Howards Good News, Stand up Central, and as seen on The Dog Ate My Homework and Channel 4’s 5o Funniest.

Paul has recently appeared on major UK tours with two of Britain’s foremost stand ups, Sean Lock and Kevin Bridges – playing to more than half a million people in Arenas and theatres to great critical acclaim. He has also been the support act for Michael Mcintyre, John Bishop and Lee Mack. 2019 saw McCaffrey take to the road for his first solo headline tour ‘I thought I’d have grown out of this by now’, playing to packed houses across the UK. In Spring 2020, he’ll be hitting the road again in his own right this time, with hilarious new show LEMON.
