COMEDY @ THE NUTSHELL

This evening is set to be a corker of a night, with Jenny Collier, Jason Patterson, Marcel Lucont and our fabulous host; the award-winning comedian Paul McCaffrey. Book quick to avoid disappointment!

JENNY COLLIER
The proudly Welsh Jenny Collier is a multi-award winning stand up comedian, writer and actor. An established regular on the international club and festival circuit, Jenny has supported Jason Manford, Arthur Smith, Shappi Khorsandi and Dave Johns on their UK tours and has performed in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, Switzerland and Australia where she won the Percy Award during the Adelaide Fringe.

The sharp tongued, multi-lingual Jenny has mastered the art of deftly welcoming her audiences into a false sense of security with her lilting Welsh twang, before taking a dramatic U-turn with her outrageously raw punchlines. She leaves audiences squirming in their seats, head in hands and always wanting more. Her perfectly crafted, confident and in command performances are a favourite at clubs and festivals everywhere. An unapologetically bold, brilliant and seriously talented rising star.

Jenny has appeared on The Rhod Gilbert Show (BBC Wales), New Comedian of the Year Award (BBC Radio 4 Extra), The Comedy Club (BBC Radio 4 Extra), What’s The Story (BBC Wales), Newsbeat (BBC Radio 1), The Leak (BBC Wales) and has written for BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz, The Now Show, Huffington Post and Glamour Magazine.

JASON PATTERSON
Winner of the Loaded Laftas Rising Star Award, Jason Patterson is a versatile and engaging stand up comedian. Jason has performed at comedy clubs all over the UK and his strong, live performances led to him being nominated for Best Newcomer at the Black Entertainment Comedy Awards.

His material covers a range of topics, from celebrities and relationships to gang culture and his parents’ Saint Vincent heritage. Internationally, he has performed across North America, Europe and the Middle East and has had TV appearances on BBC Three and MTV.

MARCEL LUCONT
Marcel Lucont is without question the greatest UK-based French comedian around.

This multi-award-deserving flâneur, raconteur and bon-viveur is currently touring the world, charming women and insulting the stupid. His deadpan stand-up, world-class sex poetry and bawdy chansons have been a huge hit all over Europe, Australasia and America and he has improved many a TV show along the way, including: Set List (Sky Atlantic), Comedy Central At The Comedy Store, The John Bishop Show (BBC1), John Bishop's Christmas Show (BBC1), The New Zealand Comedy Gala (TV3), Russell Howard's Good News (BBC3), Live At The Electric (BBC3)

PAUL MCCAFFREY
Star of Live at the Apollo (BBC2) Impractical Jokers (BBC3) Russell Howards Good News (BBC3) Stand up Central (Comedy Central) and as seen on The Dog Ate My Homework (CBBC) and Channel 4’s 5o Funniest. On the radio, Paul has recently co-hosted the Rock and Roll football on Absolute Radio and the Warm up on TalkSport as well as guesting on Rob Beckett’s show on Absolute and performing Stand up on Russell Kanes Whistlestop Tour on Radio 2. Paul is also the co-host of Radio Xs The Britpopcast, a brand new podcast all about 90s music with George Lewis.

Paul has recently appeared on major UK tours with two of Britain’s foremost stand ups, Sean Lock and Kevin Bridges – playing to more than half a million people in Arenas and theatres to great critical acclaim. He has also been the support act for Michael Mcintyre, John Bishop and Lee Mack. 2019 saw McCaffrey take to the road for his first solo headline tour ‘I thought I’d have grown out of this by now’, playing to packed houses across the UK.
