Presenting their previews 'Can I Be Awful', 'Liminal' and 'We Go Again' for our day-time audience it's sure to be a show you do not want to miss! The Nutshell's Fringe Fortnight showcases some of the UK's best comedians as they preview they shows before heading to Edinburgh Fringe.
Rachel Fairburn is a comedian and writer from Manchester. Now based in London, Rachel featured in Chortle’s ‘One to Watch’ list in 2020 and picked up the 2019 online content award from Joe.co.uk . She has also been a finalist of several prestigious competitions including Funny Women, City Life Comedian of the Year, the NATYS and English Comedian of the Year.
Rachel is co-host and co-writer of the worldwide smash hit podcast All Killa No Filla. With a huge international following of over a quarter of a million listeners and growing, she has taken the podcast on several sell-out UK tours and a recent tour of the USA. She has been a staple of the Edinburgh Fringe since 2014, with 5 critically acclaimed solo shows under her belt and featured in the ‘40 jokes of the fringe’ by the Daily Telegraph in 2018.

Jake Lambert fell into a career as a stand up, after gaining a following on Twitter under the pseudonym @LittleLostLad he decided to put down his iPhone and pick up a microphone. It has proven to be a great choice with him making it to the final of the Amused Moose Final 2016, semi-finals of the BBC New Comedy Award 2015, Magners New Comedian of the Year 2015, English Comedian of the Year 2015 and the Leicester Mercury New Act of the Year 2015.
Jake has gone on to support Seann Walsh, Kerry Godliman, Tom Allen and Rob Beckett on their UK tours as well as writing on Mock The Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Now Show, News Quiz, Virtually Famous, Bake Off: The Professionals, and Bake Off: An Extra Slice. In 2018 he made his TV debut performing on Comedy Central’s Live From The Comedy Store and in August of 2018 he performed a sell-out run of his debut solo show Little Lost Lad at the Edinburgh comedy festival.

Paul McCaffrey
Star of Live at the Apollo (BBC2) Impractical Jokers (BBC3) Russell Howards Good News (BBC3) Stand up Central (Comedy Central) and as seen on The Dog Ate My Homework (CBBC) and Channel 4’s 5o Funniest. On the radio, Paul has recently co-hosted the Rock and Roll football on Absolute Radio and the Warm up on TalkSport as well as guesting on Rob Beckett’s show on Absolute and performing Stand up on Russell Kanes Whistlestop Tour on Radio 2. Paul is also the co-host of Radio Xs The Britpopcast, a brand new podcast all about 90s music with George Lewis.
Paul has recently appeared on major UK tours with two of Britain’s foremost stand ups, Sean Lock and Kevin Bridges – playing to more than half a million people in Arenas and theatres to great critical acclaim. He has also been the support act for Michael Mcintyre, John Bishop and Lee Mack. 2019 saw McCaffrey take to the road for his first solo headline tour ‘I thought I’d have grown out of this by now’, playing to packed houses across the UK.
