“You have only one life, make the most of it”

Discarded Nut Youth Theatre present Holes. The brilliantly heart-warming, and inspiring stage show based on the multi-award-winning novel, by Louis Sachar, Holes is the story of Stanley Yelnats who is born into a family cursed with bad luck thanks to his “no-good, dirty-rotten, pig-stealing great-great-grandfather”. Stanley is accused of a crime he didn’t commit and is sent to Camp Green Lake, a juvenile correction centre in the middle of a desert in Texas.

Every day, under the terrifying eye of the evil warden, the inmates must dig a hole five feet deep and five feet in diameter to “build character” but it doesn't take long for Stanley to realise there's more than character improvement going on at the Camp. Under the blazing sun, Stanley, and the rest of the inmates, heroically endure the heat and deadly reptiles as they start to dig up the truth about the Warden’s real ambitions in this inventive and darkly humorous tale of crime and punishment-and redemption...
