Join us for some big laughs at The Nutshell this November! This evening is set to be a stonker of a night, with Carl Donnelly, Susan Murray, Jeremy Flynn and our fabulous host; the award-winning comedian Paul McCaffrey. Book quickly to avoid disappointment!

Carl Donnelly
Carl is an accomplished stand-up comedian and is a regular at all of the finest comedy clubs in the UK and Ireland, he has been nominated for the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy award for Best Newcomer with Relax Everyone, it’s Carl Donnelly! and Best Comedy Show with Now That’s What I Call Carl! Volume V. His conversational, silly sense of humour has seen him win a host of awards (Chortle Best Club Comedian 2017; Chortle Best Newcomer 2007; Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2007; among others)
Carl has also appeared on various TV shows including Mock The Week (BBC 2), One Night Stand (Dave), Stand Up for the Week (C4), Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Three), Stand Up Central (Comedy Central) and Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled (Dave). His radio appearances include The Back End of Next Week (BBC 5live), Loose Ends (Radio 4) and Act Your Age (Radio 4) as well as being a regular guest on talkSPORT.
Susan Murray
Susan has emerged as one of the best female stand-ups in the UK and was the first ever woman to MC Decompression gigs for the British Army / CSE. She is in the top 100 Huffington Post funny women Tweeters. She’s wrote for and was a guest on Jeremy Hardy Talks To The Nation and has also starred in Stephen K Amos’ Idiots Guide both for Radio 4. She has penned 4 successful solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival as well as performing in several comedy plays and sketches. She made her TV acting debut in the 3rd series of ITV’s “The Job Lot” alongside Jo Enright and Russell Tovey. She is currently presenting on East London Radio and about to go on tour with Britain’s Got Talent star Daliso Chaponda. Dates are here.

Jeremy Flynn
Jeremy Flynn is a Bristol comic who has been performing mix of observations, anecdotes and gags since 2015.
He reached the semi finals of So You Think You’re Funny, a prestigious annual stand-up comedy competition for new acts, soon after entering the world of comedy; and in 2019 was nominated for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year. You can follow Jeremy on Twitter @jeremyflynn_
Paul McCaffrey
Star of Live at the Apollo (BBC2) Impractical Jokers (BBC3) Russell Howards Good News (BBC3) Stand up Central (Comedy Central) and as seen on The Dog Ate My Homework (CBBC) and Channel 4’s 5o Funniest. On the radio, Paul has recently co-hosted the Rock and Roll football on Absolute Radio and the Warm up on TalkSport as well as guesting on Rob Beckett’s show on Absolute and performing Stand up on Russell Kanes Whistlestop Tour on Radio 2. Paul is also the co-host of Radio Xs The Britpopcast, a brand new podcast all about 90s music with George Lewis.
Paul has recently appeared on major UK tours with two of Britain’s foremost stand ups, Sean Lock and Kevin Bridges – playing to more than half a million people in Arenas and theatres to great critical acclaim. He has also been the support act for Michael Mcintyre, John Bishop and Lee Mack. 2019 saw McCaffrey take to the road for his first solo headline tour ‘I thought I’d have grown out of this by now’, playing to packed houses across the UK.
