The workshop provides a step-by-step approach to express a daffodils in monochrome through the traditional art of Sumi ink. It will equip you with the knowledge in preparing your workspace, with brush, water and different shades of ink. You will be guided in how to hold the brush and apply various brush strokes that create tonal awareness through combined mark making. The art form can be relaxing and contemplative by nature. By the end of the class you will have created a piece of art to take home.
All the painting materials are provided.
It’s advisable to bring a cushion or folded blanket to adjust the seat height.
You will be able to purchase brushes from the tutors and will also be given the list of online suppliers of the materials.
